LCA data according to EN 15804+A2

The new standard DIN EN 15804+A2 was adopted in February 2020. Compared to DIN EN 15804+A1, the new standard primarily entails extensive changes in the area of life cycle assessment indicators. For the impact indicators, new characterisation factors have been defined; certain impact indicators are subject to new calculation methods. There are also new indicators. The impact indicators calculated according to the new version of the standard can therefore no longer be compared with the impact indicators according to EN 15804+A1 and must not be used together. Thus, data seets according to DIN EN 15804+A2 are displayed in a separate ÖKOBAUDAT database view. Currently, the data sets “ÖKOBAUDAT for EN 15804+A1“ are still used in the BNB system. As soon as a sufficient number of data sets according to EN 15804+A2 is available, new benchmarks are calculated using reference buildings. A transition to EN 15804+A2 for new projects is expected at the end of 2021.

During the transition from DIN EN 15804+A1 to DIN EN 15804+A2, data sets can be delivered in accordance with both standards. The standard version of EN 15804 on which the data record is based is declared in the "Name of conformity system" data field. Data sets according to the old standard DIN EN 15804+A1 correspond to the selection "EN 15804", data sets according to the new standard correspond to the selection "EN 15804+A2".

The data can also be called up separately via the interface (API, see "Differentiating datasets compliant to EN 15804+A1 and EN 15804+A2").
