ÖKOBAUDAT 2011, containing about 950 data sheets, was made available on January 12, 2011. As against ÖKOBAUDAT 2009, it was extended by 288 EPD data sheets that were verified by Institut für Bauen und Umwelt e.V. (IBU).

A table categorizing all existing data sheets is found in a report discussing the methodological principles related to life-cycle analyses of environmental indicators in building construction “Methodische Grundlagen – Ökobilanzierte Umweltindikatoren im Bauwesen, Anhang B”. For each data sheet, information is provided as to whether it has been incorporated into ÖKOBAUDAT 2011 in its up-dated, new or unchanged form.

To use ÖKOBAUDAT 2011, please proceed as follows:

1. Download ZIP file on your local computer.
2. Extract ZIP file in a suitable database file.
3. Open individual files by clicking on the XML files in accordance with the following exemplary installation paths:

          Datenbankordner\OEKOBAU.DAT_2011_v06 - 2013_04_22\OEKOBAU.DAT_2011\processes_renamed                            \1.1.01_Zement_(Durchschnitt).xml

The files can be displayed by means of any web browser (e.g., Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer) or XML editor.
